I'm still having wireless issues. I've been trying a few different setups that you guys have been posting, but nothing is very stable wirelessly. Wired works great. I wish I would've just kept my DIR-655 with firmware 1.11 instead of buying this router. Everything worked like a champ...I could set it up and not have to worry about certain settings being a certain way. Oh well...hopefully everything gets fixed soon, or dlink allows us to revert back to older firmware.

Question for all ==> Is the Dir-825 a better router than this 4500? Just curious...I thought about selling this one and finding a Dir-825 with an older firmware so I can choose which update I want...plus it allows me to run both 2.4 and 5 ghz at the same time.

What wireless mode and band are you running? I've been running N mode only on 2.4Ghz and running well on my MacBook Pro. I have done numerous large file transfers with out dropping or disconnects like 1.21 Betas. I am still getting some dropped packets however much less than other beta builds and definitely less errors then using 5Ghz only. What HW version are you using?

eeeeks, what mode and band are you using. are you using? That's kinda heavy on drops and errors. I'd see something like that on N mode/5Ghz only. Shouldn't be seeing that on 2.4Ghz though. Unless the distance is really far apart.

I have hardware version A1 and I was running 2.4Ghz in b,g & n. When I was running 1.21 beta 08 I was running 5Ghz N only and it was a touch slow, but I didn't have hardly any drops. I just switched to 2.4Ghz N only and I'll see how it goes. I don't want to make a habit out of it because this laptop is the only thing that's N in my house. I'll report back in the next couple days. Thanks.

Have you tried using single modes or 2 modes, i.e. N or G only or N and G mixed? I've noticed a big drop in errors using N only on 2.5Ghz.

H/W is A2 running 1.22 b3.  After running it for 6 days, I had to reboot the router due to slower connections and high ping times in the 450 ms range.  After rebooting the router the ping times decreased to 110 ms and the xbox went from having 1 red bar to 4 green bars.

BTW, the wireless is still reporting many errors.

Spendy fix if the rollback bricks the 4500. And whos to know what this rollback has inside of it too. Its it clean or a trojan horse?

V1.22NA is a great upgrade since 1.15 IMO.

Oh, it works.  Flashed back using the modified 1.15 firmware, rebooted, flashed to the official 1.15 firmware, rebooted, reloaded default settings and no more wireless errors/dropped packets.  Back in the box it goes now and at least I can sell it knowing that it works again....

How is it an unknown hacked 4500?  Please enlighten me, as he FLASHED the original 1.15 firmware onto it.
