Email Setting notification fails
« on: September 02, 2009, 09:11:24 AM »

Ive been trying to configure my email notifications with my gmail account. Have not been successful , tried authentication/no authentication. Tried putting smtp hostname/ip. Tried different accounts , search and searched the web and nothing seems to work. Below is the error i get, and i have no clue what this send status 2 means. Anyone have any ideas?

[INFO] Wed Sep 02 12:08:08 2009 Unable to send email (send status 2)
[WARN] Wed Sep 02 12:08:08 2009 SMTP client failed to send email
[WARN] Wed Sep 02 12:08:08 2009 SMTP failed during sender/recipient dialog

gmail uses port 465 for outgoing mail and requires authentication. I tried also and cannot get the router to email my log using my gmail account. I do not know of anywhere to specify the port number for the SMTP server, but I suspect that is the problem here.
