hi! when i open the network folder i do not see icon of the router. when i was dsl-2641b the icon showing under network infrastructure panel but now i do not see this panel. if i open network and sharing center an then i open "see full map" i see the router icon.where may be problem ? thanks.
Is this set up working and functional?
I find that Windows 7 (with or without SP1) does a poor job of refreshing network assets, and even folder names at times. About half the time I open Network, I don't see my DIR-655 router or many of the network assets I know are there. My best fix is to close that window and open it again. Usually on the second opening, all the assets, including the router are there. There is no excuse for this lame behaviour. I had expect it to be fixed with SP1, and it wasn't. Bye.
Check in the Network and Sharing Center, the Change Advanced Sharing Settings link that is on the left hand side. Make sure Network Discovery is ON.
