Wired pcs share files, wireless ps share files but not each other

I can quickly  see files and Homegroup PCs on wireless or LAN PCs but not across topologies.  I have checked all settings on PCs and changing the settings makes no difference.  This seems to be a firewall issue but I cannot figure it out.  Wlan is unchecked.

Hi tedstir,

Are all operating systems belonging to the same Workgroup?

What operating systems are installed on each computer? What Software Firewall package is installed on each?

All PCs are on the same Homegroup and Workgroup (workgroup) and same operating system (Win 7) and all are using Norton 360 software firewall.

and what happens if you disable the Norton FW software?

Problem resolved!  Tried disabling Norton without success then unjoined Homegroup and rejoined...presto fixed.  Thanks for all the help.

If you need the Norton FW going, add a rule or set up the Norton SW to allow the connections.

Better idea is to get rid of Norton  :)
