Changing firmware from NA to WW
« on: January 11, 2011, 06:10:31 AM »

I need to change firmware from NA (North American version, bought in USA) to WW (WorldWide).
Standard firmware upgrading saying that firmware image is incorrect, so I cannot migrate.
Has anybody had success in such change? Does anybody know how to bypass the restrictions (maybe with assistance of firmware recovery process)?

Yes, I tried to update to firmware of station-drivers, but I did not have success.

As it was told by russian support, North American version of DIR-685 is different from WorldWide in hardware. Naturaly I don't believe in that. It is more likely that differences are in software.
