I've just purchased a DIR-825. I inserted the set-up CD and McAfee identified a trojan on the CD.  The trojan is Artemis!85D19F6EB253.  Now, that I look closer, the part number starts with a B, not a D...As in BIR825 not DIR825.  I know this is a revision B1, but does that change the part number as well?  How can I be sure I'm dealing with a true D-Link 825?  And, has anyone else reported this issue with the installation CD?

Like you during a full virus scan by McAfee Antivirus a trojan virus was detected in the software CD came with the device. The file name is DIR825.exe and virus name is Artemis!85D19F6EB253.

I emailed Dlink support and they responded as in the following;

" That is not a virus; it an executable file. Most Anti Virus will identify any file with .exe extension as a virus. Just remove the CD from the drive when scanning your PC.

I am yet to know what could be the payloads of such virus infection but my PC's started showing some weird behavior after I first run quick setup app DIR825.exe, such as USB port connected to a printer started malfunctioning and has not fixed yet. At a point I considered throwing away the router.
