Windows 7 forgets login credentials
« on: June 22, 2010, 02:31:56 PM »

Just had to upgrade to Windows 7 Enterprise for my work pc. I have mapped the drives on my DNS-321 and they work fine. However, everytime I reboot I have to re-enter my login credentials, even though I asked Windows 7 to save them.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it might be group policies in place since this is a work computer.  If you look at the stored passwords, are they there before restarting?

Thanks for your reply, it turns out that in Windows 7 you need to enter the credentials actually in the Credentials Manager (not in the pop-up window) for them to stay persistant.

Hope this helps others that might have this issue

I enter them in the Pop-Up for Windows 7 Ultimate, that's always worked for me.  When I check, they're indeed saved, and have been through many boot cycles.
