Encounter "SIGNINERR004".
« on: May 04, 2014, 03:44:46 AM »

Firmware: 1.09b01
Wizard: DCS-932L_SetupWizard_v1.04.10.dmg

After setup the wireless connection, when I choose to add the camera to existing account, tried two different one, both gave a "SIGNINERR004" error code, but when I register a new account it success.

But I need to centralize many camera to specific one existing account which already registered a lot of camera include DCS-5010L, DCS-5020L, DCS-5222L.

I think the problem should be in the setup wizard?

Please check the problem, glad to apply additional diagnostic information.

Same error for me I have 4xDCS-932L and 1xDCS-522L on mydlink account all working. Trying to add a DCS-7010L and I receive the SIGNINERR004. I have even added the 4th DCS-932L since I have the problem with the 7010....even updating the 7010 firmware and trying a new Installation software...no good...tried changing my password on mydlink too...no change still SIGNINERR004.

I registered this question with D-LINK support 3 months ago...so far I have had NO REPLY AT ALL from them. Other than the automated, we have received your mail etc.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

Hi
Did any of you resolve this error? If so, please tell what to do. My problem is that DCS-2332 and DCS-2132 cannot co-exist on the same mydlink account. Both cameras work fine in separate accounts.

Wow,

This is really surprising for such a company, pretty poor form actually.

I have just (wasted) nearly 8 hours trying to overcome this issue, I've just bought 6 x DCS-930L but after spending from midnight till (after) sun-up trying to solve this issue it seems that unless I have 6 different accounts it's impossible to centralise the cameras in one account.

I'm only able to add a single camera to a single mydlink account, when try to add a second camera I get the SIGNINERR004 error (beneath).

What is the fix someone please, I'm in Auckland, New Zealand & if I call the help desk I will be wasting more time almost guaranteed :(

Tried Win 8 / OSX i.e. Chrome, Safari, Explorer, 7h 45m worth… the cameras all work as they should, all on V1.11 every things fine but the flipping' software which isn't good at all.

No resolution for this until now? I'm getting the same error when I try to add my DCS-932L to my existing mydlink account.

Was the camera previously added?
Try removing the camera from the web site while the camera is off. mydlink.com There should be a remove button.
Has a factory reset been performed on the camera before adding it?

happens if you try to register devices from different countries. i had a camera from europe and a router from USA. I need 2 accounts because one goes to www.eu.mydlink.com and the other to www.us.mydlink.com. If i try to register my USA device to my EU Account i got SIGNINERRR004 and vice versa. Hope this helped

Thanks for the info. Hope it helps future users. I have seen this error when there isn't a admin log in PW assigned to the device as well and users try to associate the device to MDL. Once the PW is set, seems to clear the error. I have't seen this issue in a while now.

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Do you have a admin router log in PW set? This needs to be set first then you can reg with the MDL service.
