Mystery Wifi Mac Address Log
« on: July 24, 2011, 03:17:04 AM »

Can someone tell me their experience using wifi on their router?

Apparently I'm getting this in my log.    00:11:95:F1:1B:47 is the Mac address builtin the router (under /Status_Device_Info.html it is the macaddress for WifiLan and Lan)

The following is a normal entry. This mac address 0025003E78E1 is from a laptop

My question is, does anybody else getting this as a normal entry in their log? (Macaddress of the Wifilan)
I'm not getting any unknown wifi mac-address associations in the log and am hoping the mac-address of the wifilan cannot be used as a hack for entering the wifi network..

Also if anyone has any good hints on how to analyze dlink product logs, that would be great. I can't find any documentation on this.. but it's 90% straightforward everything else so I can't really complain other than this router really works well. I'm mostly happy with it.. but just want to clarify this little bit on why i'm getting this mystery log entry.

Any reply, greatly appreciated. Thank you..

What wireless devices do you have?
Is this MAC address belong to one of your devices? If so then the router is reporting that the connection was discontinued due to the device leaving the area, turned off, interference or sleeping.
