DFL800 NAT and SAT rules
« on: March 30, 2010, 03:14:06 AM »

Hi.

I want to nat my source IP.
I have a NAT rule to do this from my source network to a new network. In NAT tab I use: Use Interface Address.

Is it necessary to add a new rule (SAT or NAT) for each server in order to NAT or SAT the lan ip address to the new IP? Or the single nat rule with networks is enough?

When I use "Use Interface Address" in NAT tab what ip does it use? the IP of SourceInterface?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,

SAT is static address translation. For DFL, it's not traffic forwading rule, it's modification rule.
For simple source NAT, make just one NAT rule (or keep standart rules). "Use Interface Address" means getting source address from outgoing interface. Changing of source address can be required if you have IP pool from ISP and want to use some different addresses.
