D-ViewCam - Reset Lost D-ViewCam Password

If the D-ViewCam admin password is lost, there is no means of retrieving the password through the application interface. The following procedure will restore the admin password and account information.

Procedure

  • Make sure the D-View application is closed
  • Click on the Windows Start menu and enter regedit in the command prompt. This action will open the Regedit application
  • On the left menu page navigate the directory tree to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\DlinkViewCam\NewUserAccount\User00
  • Delete the entry User00
  • Close Regedit
  • Launch D-ViewCam. The application should prompt for a new password
