SPEED ON LAPTOP

i have my desktop computer wired and my laptop wireless, the laptop speed is about half of the desktop???   i have the wbr-1130 router.

What wireless modes are you using?
What wireless modes are supported on the Laptop?
Is the desktop wired or wireless as well?

i'm not sure what wireless modes are or how to check them and the desktop is wired.

You should be getting 54Mb connection speeds on the Laptop. Again, WiFi will not be as fast as your wired PC.
