Hi! I have bought an old DSG-3324SR, but unfortunately this is password protected. Resetting this using the RS232 cable and the hot key (Shift-6) after the UART Init boot. This also didn’t work, so currently I cannot use this Switch.
Does anyone know another way to reset this switch (or a complete factory reset)?
Thanks in advance!

There a reset button?
Check the user manual for reset instructions.

That’s what I did.. the reset password option is Shift-6 during boot over an RS232 but that doesn’t work. Factory reset is only explained from the web interface, but that’s locked.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this.
Link> Tech Support Contact Information (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=635.0)
We find that chat/phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

I am trying to find a backdoor/reset procedure. This switch was discontinued in 2011 so not much information is available anymore. I know a lot of the older switches if you forgot your password you would have to send in to D-Link so they could reset it. A little overboard IMO for security....

You will need to contact tech support in your region. Ask them to create a Dtrack for a password backdoor and supply them with the hardware revision, serial number, and MAC address. There is no other way.
