Title: DCS-942L: How do I change audio codec?
Post by: cpaucar3 on March 09, 2020, 01:41:35 PM
The datasheet lists several audio codecs besides AAC and through the CGI API (/config/audio.cgi?profileid=3) I can see the other codecs but when I try to stream through any video profile, it only plays AAC. How do I stream with a different audio codec that isn't AAC?

I have a newer camera model (2530) that lets me change it through the CGI API (/config/audio.cgi?profileid=3&codec=PCM) but the 942 won't accept this change. I'm using the latest firmware and the HW rev is B1.
