This confuses me. Can we get a Firmware update for this?

If you are using the HDD Viewer software, they are still working on a new version.

If you are using the Playback software, they are still working on it but due to the coronavirus, the vendor and D-Link's R&D in China are closed until Feb 10th.

I had the exact same issue. Just downloaded and installed newest update and it fixed the issue. DNR-202L_REVA_FIRMWARE_v2.5.8_BETA.zip
