Hi, I am from Holland amd want to replace my DIR-880L.

This router is advertised as having 160Mhz connections. I read here that it does not have it.
I just wanted to buy it to fully exploit my Intel AC 9260.
Any sign of a firmware-update for that?

Weird reason : DFS is holding it up. A good router should just switch down when important DFS-signals are in reach ???.

So no buy for me, as it does not bring me much more than my DIR-880L.

Its a process. I presume the DFS needs to be tested, set and certified first before other factors get setup. 160Mhz isn't main stream yet so not a high priority I presume. Hopefully they will get it going. I'd rather have a good feature that was done right then a rather that was rushed to market and not done well.  ::)

-
I agree fully, but then D-Link should not market it as such!

-
@FurryNutz when can we expect a firmware update for this.

Also, why my earlier responses  were deleted
-
From what I know. D-Link has this planned. Not date of arrival though.

-
				Thanks for the update.

-
I sent an email but no response. I know there are Taiwan holidays this week so prob nothing til next week.

-
I honestly think at this point D-Link is not going to support it.  ::) I am asking about our new router line (ie DIR-2660) to see if they will get these certified to support 160.

As of now DD-WRT for the DIR-882 does add 160MHz support.
-
LOL just got a response to my email:

DIR-882 is supposed to support it in the next FW scheduled to be released March 2019.
-
				Yay.  ;D

-
Awesome, that builds trust with a Brand. Thanks once again.

-
Just chiming in to make sure its still on track, as we are almost at the End of March.

 Cheers !!
-
They have 10 more days :)  I have not seen a release yet but I will email and see if it is coming.

-
				Thank you for your support

-
Any update ? for your email query

-
				Not yet....

-
Am assuming it has been delayed

-
Its only been delayed for over a year. Not sure what the hold up is.

-
Might be my last product, Netgear provide more frequent update/fixes/feature compared to dlink.

-
				Any update on this

-
Any update on this Request ? They forgot this Router ?

-
I sent yet another email but sent it to Taiwan directly. Hope to hear back tomorrow.

-
				Cool Thanks !!

I got word from US office that they (Taiwan) have been working on firmware for a while but having some issues. The latest they are working on now seems to be stable and should pass testing (D-link and vendor) in the next week or 2. Once approved, it will need to be sent to the FCC and USA DFS labs for testing/certification. This can take up to 8 weeks. ::)  but at least there seems to be some light at the end of this long long tunnel.

-
Thanks for quick update, atleast now we know they are doing something and its not abandoned.

 Thanks again !!
-
No problem. It was never abandoned.  Getting new firmware is a big expensive process that most people may not know about/understand, especially when there is certification involved. Lots of hoops....

160Mhz is in v1.20 FW update now.  ;)
