				Hi,

I am using D-Link DIR-825 AC router to configure IPv6 dynamically.
I am having IPv4 WAN connection. I want to configure IPv6 dynamically by the router.
WAN  =ipv4=>  ROUTER =ipv6=> SYSTEM(running OS, Want IPv6 IP assigned by router)
Which method is good to go ?

 Thanks,
 -Kaushal

 - What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under the router case.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?

I recommend that you review the user manual for IPv6 setup and configuration.

				Hi,

 H/W version :- G1
 F/W version :- 7.00
 Region:- India

I have gone through manual for IPv6 and configured accordingly but still i am not getting IPv6 address dynamically.

 Thanks,

Be sure your PC or device has IPv6 enabled as well...
Does your ISP support native IPv6 from there services?
-
So you want just your local network IPv6?  Not a common setup.

In the IPv6 section, next to My IPv6 Connection select "local connectivity only".

				ISP doesn't support IPv6.
Is there any option to get IPv6 dynamically by the router if we do connect IPv4 from WAN to router ?
 Setup:
WAN      ==ipv4=>     ROUTER    ==ipv6=>     SYSTEM (need IPv6 address by the router)

 It's just for some experiment.

 Thanks,
 -Kaushal

Setting "local connectivity only" should get a dynamic IPv6 IP address from the router.
