				Hello:

I am trying to upgrade my DES-1228 to the latest firmware.
I downloaded the 1.10.12 zip file and extracted it on my computer.

Then, I logged into the web management utility of my switch and tried
to upload the DES-1228_A1_FW_v1.10.12.hex file under Tool > Firmware Backup and Upload.

After a short time I get an error: Invalid file size

 Any ideas what went wrong?

 Thanks,
 Neil

I just tried the 1.10.11 firmware with the same result: Invalid file size

I was able to upload the 1.00.19 firmware and then 1.10.11 and then 1.10.12,
I guess it just needed them in order.

				Neil,

As you've successfully upgrade to the latest firmware version, can you confirm whether you are able to enable IGMP Snooping?

When I last tried to upgrade, I think I received the same error you reported, but eventually managed to get it to upgrade.  However, having tried with both 1.10.11 as well as 1.10.12, with either of these versions I am not able to enable IGMP Snooping.  I had to downgrade back to 1.00.19, and I've been there since, as that is the last version with which I am able to enable IGMP Snooping.

 Thanks,
 Corey
