Hello all.
I'm confronting a problem with DCS-7010L. The POE energy simply stopped work.
I already tested my ethernet poe switch (TP-LINK Tl-sg1008p Poe) and internal infraestructure (CAT5E STP), and no problems ate detected with another equipaments.
The camera work fine using external power supply. When i try turn camera on using PoE nothing happen.
Anyone can give me a hint of what to do?

- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
Camera have a working correct IP address?
Has the camera been factory reset and set up from scratch and tested?
Does the camera work if connected to a non PoE network connection and can you access the UI there?

Hello FurryNutz!
- What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera: I can't see it right now, i'am at work. I send it later.
- Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status - I think the lastest firmware. A week before i received a prompt for firmware update and i install it.
- What region are you located? I'am at Brazil, South.
- What Mfr and model is the main host router? Router: ASUS DSL-N10, POE SWITCH: TP-LINK Tl-sg1008p
- Camera have a working correct IP address? Yes.
- Has the camera been factory reset and set up from scratch and tested? No
- Does the camera work if connected to a non PoE network connection and can you access the UI there? Yes, but, the camera is currently shutdown because i dont have any power supply close to the camera, that's why i use PoE.
Thanks for the reply.

I recommend getting the camera down from its location and use a power supply with the camera first. Connect it up and factory reset the camera. Set up from scratch then make sure it's still working with it's native Power Supply. Then after that, test with you PoE connections.

I will try this and post the reply here. Thanks.

Hello @FurryNutz!
I made factory reset of the camera but the problem persists.
The hardware version is: H/W Ver:A3 F/W VER:1.02

Last ditch effort, lets load v1.09 then factory reset after the FW loads then set up from scratch.

I presume if this still fails, you'll need to phone contact your regional D-Link support office to get further help and information.

After all this time, manufacturer D-link send me this week a new camera. They don't send any report about the other camera with PoE problem.

Hope the new camera works well for you. Enjoy. ;)
