Hi,
I just got a new DCS 5222L
This one is a version B
I can't install it, LED is still flashing green.
I tried 20 times maybe but can't get it solid.
I also have an issue with the setup wizard, I can't see it in full, bottom of the wizard is truncated;
I can't see the Button at the bottom, Any idea how to expand it
Thanks

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What region are you located?
What Mfr and model is the main host router?
How is the camera connected? LAN wire or wireless? LAN wire is recommended first.
What wireless modes are you using on the router?
What security modes are you using to the router?
What size screen are you using on your computer monitor? Try sizing the monitor for a higher size resolution to fix the set up window on the screen.

Hi
I'm based in Dubai
Router is a D Link model DIR 620
Camera is connected via the Ethernet cable provided in the box.
I've no idea on the wireless mode of the router
Neither the security mode of the router
I played with the resolution but it has no effect on the setup wizard Window, size of the window itself does not change, and resolution and content of the window stay the same. It's like the window is too small and I can't change the size of the content inside!!!
-
What version of OS/Windows are you using?
Can you post a screen capture of what your seeing?
Adding Screenshots In A Post (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58120.0)
Besure to download the lasted set up software from D-Link support site as well and install it. The CD version may be out of date.

Hi,
I use windows 10
picture of the setup wizard attached
https://ibb.co/nMzDh5
I don't use the CD but the exec from Dlink website
-
So you seem to have the Rev A version of the SW loaded. You need to download and set up the Rev B version. It will say DCS-5222LB1 on the set up screen.
I loaded both versions of the set up software on my Windows 10 box and both don't show those gray buttons below. There are two blue buttons, BACK on the left side of the window and NEXT on the right side of the window.
-
I use the B version on the website: https://www.mydlink.com/download
But I can't find DCS-5222LB1 only DCS-5222L
https://ibb.co/htSw25
Is there a DCS-5222LB1 I didn't see?
I also try the A version and same issue with the size of the window!
-
You can use Rev B from that page or this page:
http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-5222L (http://support.dlink.com/ProductInfo.aspx?m=DCS-5222L)
I loaded this version yesterday and didn't see any issues on the first set up window. I can't fully walk thru it as I don't have this model camera.
-
I try the link but same result;
size of the window is same, far too small to access the button
I don't know what to do!
-
Do you have the means to use the mydlink Lite app (iOS or Android)? I would install it that way instead of the software.
Have you tried the software on another computer? I have not seen that issue with the software before. Also I do not see an older version of the setup wizard for revision B. The one posted on mydlink.com is the only version.
The DCS-5222LB1 is the same as DCS-5222L. B1 is the hardware version number.

Hi,
I got another computer and luckily I'm able to see the setup wizard window in full.
However after
I connect Ethernet cable to the Camera
Cable to the router
plug into electric socket
It does not come solid green but keep flashing
-
Is it a steady blinking or is it solid then blinks fast, then solid for a second, etc.
Can you see the camera from either the mydlink app or on the mydlink portal?
If you log into your router do you see the camera in the DHCP table? Can you ping the IP address of the camera?
-
It stays solid for 3-4 secs then 1 flash and then solid 3-4 secs. Very stable
I can't see the camera from Dlink portal or mobile app
For info the other camera Version A works perfectly fine
I've no clue about DHCP table but I copy what I got

Hi,
I finally was able to add the Camera to my account.
But still does not work properly
- Green light still flashing
&
- I got the following message
Unable to access your DCS-5222L.
If you cannot access your DCS-5222L, please check that:
You have at least 256K of bandwidth
Your DCS-5222L is not being blocked by a firewall or an antivirus program
I have another DCS522L but Model A and it works perfectly!!

I recommend setting a static IP address ON the cameras outside of the main host routers default DHCP IP address pool as a troubleshooting step: 192.168.#.52 and .53 DHCP (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58017.0)
Test cameras with uPnP and uPnP Port Forwarding both enabled on ALL cameras: DCS Cloud (L) Series Camera Configuration and Mydlink.com (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=62395.0)

My router just got busted, tested again water & electricity definitely not a good tandem.
Any recommendation on DLink router to get the DCS 5222L cameras working?
Thanks.
