Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to have any detections recorded to ones computer hard drive, as well as sd card? Thank you.

Can try using D-View Cam for Windows...
A DNR-202L is a good device to record too while using your own external USB drives.

I did try D-view cam, but it doesn't seem to work with DCS-936L. It didn't find my camera during the scan for cameras, so then tried to manually enter the camera. There is a drop-down menu & my camera wasn't listed. So, appreciate any input.

Is there a generic entry or manual and input the IP address of the camera manually?
Just tried with mine, can't get a 936L or a 960L to connect in DVC. They work on my DNR-202L though.

ok, thank you for trying.

Maybe some 3rd party SW out there that may work if a DNR-202L isn't in your list.

Looks like D-viewCam will work for recording from the 936L:

Thank you very much for the link. I will give it another try. The DNR-202L might also be something to look at, at some point, but if this works for me, that would be great. :)

Let us know how it works for you. I used v4.1.1 version of DVC on a windows 7 x32 PC.

D-View cam worked. The poster of the the link you shared said they used the model # DCS-942L in the setup. So, I tried manually setting up my 936L using 942L in the drop down menu & it worked! Thank you for posting the link & for all your help, FurryNutz. :-)

Glad it worked. Enjoy. ;)
