Recently set up the DNR-202L and everything seems to be working fine (with the exception of not being able to log into it remotely - but that's another story!).  The question I have concerns the "blue ring" on the top of the DNR-202L.  Mine continues flashing without letup.  Is this normal ??  It is running the latest firmware 2.02.00.

Mine does too, so I assume it's working okay.  Of course, I'm having issues with event-triggered recording, so maybe it's NOT okay, after all... !  I think that the flashing blue ring indicates network activity, though.

Check the user manual for LED ring lighting behavior to see what it's supposed to be doing?

FurryNutz . . . Boy do I feel stupid!!  ::)     Right on page 64 of the user manual it states that the blinking blue light indicates network activity.  Shoulda checked there first . . .

I know we all hate looking at the user manuals sometimes, sometimes you gotta.  ;)
 Enjoy.
