I've been using the mydlink lite app on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.5 tablet for a long time without issue.  Now when I connect to any of my cameras (DCL-930L &  DCS-932LB1) via Local access, I get the 5 minute timeout, which I think is only supposed to apply to "Remote" access.   My iOS devices aren't having that problem - just the tablet.

 Here's the message I get:
 ------
 Smooth video
Remote viewing time limit reached. Would you like to reconnect?
 [Cancel] [Reconnect]
 ------

It seems to have happened after I updated the firmware on the cameras and/or changed the resolution on two of the cameras.

How can I troubleshoot the android mydlink app?  Since I use the tablet primariily for monitoring purposes, I'd really like to get this resolved.

 Thanks!

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.

UPDATE:  I spoke with D-Link tech support.  They theorized it was an app compatibility issue with my device and/or android version.  They asked for specifics and said they'd investigate but I would not be notified and would have to discover on my own if it was fixed or not.

I decided to purchase the MyDlink+ app (99 cents).  Instead of giving my MyDlink account credentials, I just chose "Local cameras".  No more time outs -- and it does look better on my tablet.  As a precaution, I also disabled automatic app updates in Google Play.

I'm wondering if a workaround in the mydlink lite program would be to log out, close mydlink lite, then open and NOT log in -- just select "Local cameras".  Hopefully this will help someone else.

Glad you got some information and the purchased app works.

 Enjoy.  ;)
