Title: Problems with dcs1000 and dcs1000w
Post by: Jake81499 on April 20, 2015, 08:38:49 PM
Hi, I'm having issues with two d-link cameras that I've been using for a very long time. A DCS-1000 and a DCS-1000w. Both are used to upload pictures to a website via ftP. This has been a long standing issue.

When either camera is running while the other is not the running camera will upload pictures no problem non stop without a hitch. But when I plug them both in the DCS-1000w will quit uploading after just a pictures are sent. The camera has to be power cycled and it will send a few more pictures. The DCS-1000 will continue sending without any problem. I've tried wired and wireless and both on the DCS-1000w with no change. This problem has been going on since the cameras were new. Both are on different static ip addresses and different ftp ports. I've tried different time between upload intervals with no luck.  The cameras are about 20 feet apart.

Also, what D-Link cameras would be a direct replacement for the above cameras.

Thanks

What Mfr and model is the main host router?
What wireless modes are you using?
Be sure to set up either reserved IP addresses on the main host router for each camera or set static IP addresses on the cameras that are out side of the default DHCP IP address pool if the main host router:
