Thanks, this new firmware is spot on. In regards to the Streamboost & ABE, it does function like it's supposed to. Love this router.

I just wanted to say that after about 2 hours of gaming on this firmware everything appears to be solid.
Stats are tracking well, automatic bandwidth estimation and stream-boost are both working, the GUI is fast and looks great.
I hope they're getting close to a final release because this one appears to be great.
Region: NA
ISP: Comcast
Modem: SurfBoard 6121

Good to hear. Glad this is working well for you. I just received my 5500 back from a remote location so soon as I get some time, I'll put it online and start playing with it.
Just curious, did you use the quick method to install the FW and set it up or did you use the long method to install FW? Where you waited a while for ABE to test and settle in?

I'm not sure exactly what the long and short methods are but I downloaded the bin from the site, factory reset, uploaded and installed the bin, factory reset, and then set up from scratch.
In the two hours that I played (right after setup), the auto bandwidth tester had successfully tested my connection.

Has anyone noticed if this firmware has fixed the issue with duplicate entries of the same device/MAC address showing up in the "My Network" and Priorities pages? IIRC, it was any devices with a DHCP reservation that would show up twice, possibly any device though. This made it a pain or impossible to set priorities properly and to monitor bandwidth usage.
EDIT: Actually, it appears that with the older Firmware (1.12 B05), any device with a MAC address starting with "00" as the first octet will show up twice in the priorities and bandwidth pages. I will test to see if this is fixed in the new 1.13 FW when I get the chance.

I believe it does:

Use the FW update process to apply the FW file:

NA -> USA
Flashed to 1.13 12 hours ago or so and no signs of duplicate devices so far. I've started fresh with factory defaults and have yet to set up most of my settings. Only changed my DNS servers so far.

FYI, this is the last FW version to be released by D-Link for this model router. Development has been closed. Any support or information that is needed by users. please post or I recommend phone contacting your regional D-Link support office for immediate help and information.
If new users are inquiring about this model router, I'll recommend that you look into the DIR series model routers.
DGL-5500 user should consider this as well to help extend the routers HW and usage:
