Post by: utomo on December 03, 2014, 03:11:49 AM
Hello,

I try to use website filtering to filter some website.
1. Facebook.com
2. Detik.com
3. Kaskus.co.id
and maybe others

I already try and save this, but I still can access it. please help.
Whats wrong and how to do it.
If possible I want to block this between 9.00 to 15.00 only.
Thank you

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Can you put http:// infront of the web site URLs?

Router and Wired Configurations
Some things to try: - Log into the routers web page at 192.168.0.1. Use IE, Opera or FF to manage the router. Besure to log into the Admin account on the router.

Review this to see if this helps:

You may need to set up a access control rule, IP reservations, along with ensuring DNS Relay is enabled and any Advanced DNS Service is enabled too.
To set up scheduling:
1. Reserve device IP addresses ON the router under Setup/Networking.
2. Set up a schedule under Tools/Schedule on the routers web page. Customize your dates and times here.
3. Use Access Control under Advanced to apply the customized schedule to a policy and to the PC(s) desired to be controlled.
4. Ensure Time is set correctly on the router. Tools/Time.

If you purchased the router from America, then there maybe some differences between this region and the Asia region. It's not recommended to use HW from different regions as there are differences in FW and regions. Each region handles there own FW development differently and policys are different.

ISP model is relevant here as If the ISP modem has a built in router, it's best to bridge the modem. Having 2 routers on the same line can cause connection problems: Link>Double NAT (http://www.practicallynetworked.com/networking/fixing_double_nat.htm) and How NAT Works (http://cognitiveanomalies.com/cisco-nat-how-nat-works/).

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
