Title: DAP 1525 Conected to Wifi in Bridge Mode but no Internet
Post by: Teddlet on November 14, 2014, 05:22:02 PM
Howdy,

I've got a DAP 1525 that is connected to my Wifi network. But the wired connections are showing only "limited" connectivity. To even get to the setup menu to come up in the browser I have to assign an IP to the laptop accessing the device (via cable). I've recently changed my main AP & it worked fine before, what am I missing?

Connection Type:DHCP Client
MAC Address: xxxxxxx
IP Address:192.168.1.8
Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:192.168.1.1

Wireless Radio:Enabled
Bridge State:Connected
MAC Address: xxxxxx
Channel:44
Network Name (SSID): xxx
Wi-Fi Protected Setup:Enabled
Security:WPA2-PSK

What Mfr and model host router do you have?

Was the DAP setup in bridge mode using the setup wizard on the DAP?

What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?

Swap LAN cables between the DAP and PC to test

Howdy Furry Nutz,

Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DAPs web page under status.
      Firmware is 1.0

What region are you located?
   USA (Northern California)

What Mfr and model host router do you have?
Old/original router (the one it worked with) DGL 4500  New router is a Netgear R8000

Was the DAP setup in bridge mode using the setup wizard on the DAP?
I used the WPS button (both with the DLR4500 and the R8000

What wireless modes are you using on the main host router?
Its "Tri Band" 2.4 and 5 Ghz. It looks like the DAP is trying to use the 5 Ghz band

Swap LAN cables between the DAP and PC to test
I've used 2 different lan cables in ports 1 and 4

Thanks for the quick response!

Let try a factory reset in the DAP and wire connect a PC to the DAP. U may need to assign a Static IP address to the PC of 192.168.0.49. Then connect to the DAPs web page at 192.168.0.50 and use the wizard to connect to the main host router wifi. You can only connect to either radio, and not both at the same time.
