hi there, I have a DSL-2750B, a mac with Mavericks, shareport plus 4.4 and I'm trying to share a canon iP4000 usb printer, but no luck.
the printer is correctly connected with the modem/router, in the USB port Setup I've selected "Enable SharePort and Print Server", print server in on.
Shareport software cannot find any device attached
I've also tried with a USB drive but also this cannot be find by software
thanks for any help

- What Hardware version is your Modem? Look at sticker under modem.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the modems web page under status.
- What region are you located?
- Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
Can you add the printer using OSX print utility instead of using SP?

Thanks for the answer, below the details:
hardware is B1
software is EU_2.03
I'm in Italy
wireless connected to the router
I've tried addind the printer with osx utility but no luck. I wasn't sure of the protocol to use: LPD or IPP?
there is a step by step guide around?
thx

I'd refer to the printers Mfr support site and information regarding protocols required by them to using in OSX, it maybe different.
If the Modem has a actual print server then shareport may not be needed and just connected to the IP address with some path to the printer. I'll recommend that you phone contact D-Link support and ask them specifically about the print server and the configuration to use to get the Mac connected to the printer.
Let us know how it goes please.
