Management -> Account Management -> Network Shares - Network Shares Settings

All Network Shares disappeared. Unable to add new Network Shares.

Tried to "Reset Network Shares" and rebooted the DNS-345. It didn't fix the issue.

D-Link updated the release notes for the DNS-345, i.e. an item was added: [My Surveillance] UI enhancement and more cameras supported

Since My Surveillance is an add-on, I can only presume the supported cameras is a configuration file that the firmware update can overwrite or amend. Can any users validate that this latest firmware version has more recent Cloud Cameras listed?

v1.03 loaded with out a hitch yesterday.

1. Setup FTP Server - Still have to get it fully configured for NW shares correctly and verify FTP access. Any better way to expand the Volume drive information for folders? I see there is no indication of folders with in the volumes displayed for sharing.

2. My DCS-933L is still not listed in the available cameras in Surveillance Center app.  :'(

I fully agree with you. Creating/modifying a network share under Management > Account Management > Network Shares could be more elegant. When creating a new network share, there is no visual cue that indicates that Volume_1 (or any volume listed) can expand to show the sub-directories.

2. My DCS-933L is still not listed in the available cameras in Surveillance Center app.  :'(

I will have to take a closer look at this myself. . .  :-\

Update:

I downgraded from fw 1.03 to fw 1.02, then put back in my original network shares. I then downgraded from fw 1.02 to fw 1.01. Then I upgraded from fw 1.01 to fw 1.03. The upgrade worked fine for my existing shares. I also don't have any issues with adding new network shares.

Using this latest firmware update I was able to coax the Surveillance Center v2.0 add-on to recognize my DCS-931L and DCS-5020L. These two cameras do not appear as options in the camera dropdown menu, but can be manually added, something that I was unable to get working properly in older DNS-345 firmware versions.

Open Surveillance Center and under Camera Setup select DCS-930 as the camera Model, enter the network camera IP address, and username/password combination. Using this approach I was able to tap into the live video and audio stream for the newer Cloud Cameras, although the advanced functions, like PTZ did not work for the DCS-5020L.

Why do think this release is not stable?  :-\  ???

I assume b06 stands for BETA 06?

What I meant was "final release" as the beta versions are still under testing.

Or is the b06 not a beta?

Such a little letter... but a big difference.

Thanks for clarifying this. :)

Should I be upgrading from the first release of 1.02 to the second release of 1.02 to 1.03 or does 1.03 consist of everything in between?

Seeing that Dlink has been able to add iSCSI support finally they should be able to fix the load balancing issue were by their software creates a virtual NIC that get the IP and MAC address assigned, the two physical NIC's never get IP address as they are managed by the OS.

The firmware upgrades are not additive. Every firmware upgrade completely overwrites the existing firmware file (i.e. each firmware file is self-contained and independent).

This is not entirely true. See my post about LDAP authentication in the main forum list. If the firmware completely over wrote everything then I wouldn't be seeing the message I am.

The firmware file does overwrite all of the code from the previous install. However, the user settings/configurations carry over from version to version unless you perform a factory reset to purge those modifications. The settings that you made are the likely cause for the message your referring to.

Hi,

I've just bought a DNS-345 and have attempted to install V1.03B06 of the firmware to upgrade it from V1.02 that was installed on delivery.

The experience has not been good!

Once I had installed V1.03 could no longer see or access any of the fileshares I had created using the V1.02 firmware.  I was also unable to see any fileshares I created using the new firmware, either from Windows 7 or from the user interface on the Drive itself.

The funny thing was that I could see all the folders if I accessed the drive using MyDLinkCloud but not on the drive itself.

I tried an earlier suggestion of reverting to V1.02 and reinstating the fileshares and reverting to V1.01 before upgrading directly to V1.03 but that had the same problem.

I've now reverted to V1.02 again and all seems to be working fine.

I think D-Link need to look at this release of firmware and their testing processes.

This must be a bug. But my 2 iSCSI targets just disappeared today.
They were just fine for the last 2 months but today started the NAS and the targets are gone from the Disk Management.

Added:
In case some else has similar issues. Just created those iSCSI target with exact the same name and boom they are all back. Weird.
