Like a year ago the GRC guys at Shields Up! put out a test for routers that had a WAN side UPNP vulnerability, Dlink was one of the ones that failed when using upnp.  Dlink put up this page saying they were fixing this - http://www.dlink.com/us/en/technology/upnp
The DIR-857 got this fixed in 1.04, but they never posted it for the DIR-827 which is the same family.  Furry can you ask your contacts what happened on this one?   Will it be in 1.05 after beta?

Thanks for posting. I have asked for information on this. I don't know when or if I'll get any info back. If your needing more help and information, please phone contact your regional D-Link support office for immediate help and information. This is beyond forum help here. I'll post back if I get information regarding this.
What FW version do you have loaded?

I have 1.04 from the USA support site.  I looked at the 1.05Bxx builds and neither claim to have fixed this in the release notes so don't want to try them if they don't have this addressed yet.

That latest update did finally fix the UPNP security hole.   I have been running it for a week now and have not noticed any new regressions either.
