Title: 505 speed problem in repeater mode
Post by: BartVader on June 24, 2013, 04:15:00 AM
Hi.

Just bought the 505 to solve signal issues on thr 2nd floor. Have a DIR655 on the first floor, and the 505 is connected directly above the router, bit on the 2nd floor ofcourse.
Have created a 2nd SSID for the 505.

If i connect via wifi to the 655 router with my ipad i get approx 16mBits per sec. However, if I connect via the 505 in repeater mode I only get 2 mbits per second.

Both tests were made on the 2nd floor, 2 meters from the 505.

Are there any settings on either device that can improve the network speed?

Regards

No, there are minimal settings on the 505 and none that would help you.  When you do the site survey, what does it say the signal strength is?
