I've heard that there is or is going to be a B1 version of this router released that is going to have open source software. Is this true? If so will it replace the A1 version or supplement it? Hopefully it will replace it otherwise it will be very difficult (or impossible) to determine which version you're buying when you buy it online. When will the B1 version be available?

It will replace, however there will be a noticable difference between the two.

I'm looking for the future and the open source software of the B1 seems like it will offer more flexibility for the future. Is there any reason to believe this won't be the case?

I can't comment until I touch one.

i'm sure the answer is no, but can you provide any directional guidance as to when it will be released? q3, q4, 2010, etc. ?
