I am trying to update the firmware dns325_FW_102 (Release date 4/2011) which I had downloaded from DLINK site. When I try it says it failed, try again later. I am connected via network cable. Also, when looking at the firmware page while in the console it shows
 "Current NAS Firmware Version 2.00
 Firmware Date 12/17/2010"

bit confused about why is the existing showing a higher firmware date, but an older calendar date and why it keeps failing

				Hi,
I am confused.  As far as I know, there are no firmwares numbered above the 1.xx series for the DNS-325.  If your machine says it is running 2.00, it seems like the unit might actually be the DNS-320 not the DNS-325.  If you actually have the DNS-320, there is a newer firmware which can be found at this link, http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41487.0
Hope this helps to sort things.

The DNS-320 only has 2.xx firmware published. More likely the DNS-321 or DNS-323.
