Title: Access to sd card
Post by: jk_wloc on December 15, 2011, 03:01:54 AM
Hi Everyone,
I have trouble with writing to SD Card on this router.
I've tried a couple of SD cards (FAT32 formatted) of different capacity.
I can mount the drive letter and read from the SD Card, but I can't write to it.
I've also tried to create a folder on the card in computer and then to access it but I get the same error that I should obtain rights from something like s-1...
I've tried both with shareport plus utlity running and without, adding access through this utility or manually.
I even tried to mount the SD card using Admin account and password
Nothing helps.
There is no menu in the router web page, where I can manage the access to SD card
I've tried several computers using Windows 7 and Windows XP.
Does any of you encountered such a problem?
There are not that many options left:
- I could format the SD card differently (EXT2, EXT3, FAT16)
- I'll try to mount the SD card to my NMT and try through NMT interface to delete files/folders.
Maybe I should add some rule to router? If yes then what sort of rule?
Any other ideas would be helpful.

The problem was solved by upgrading to the 1.01 North American firmware. In Europe there is only the initial firmware 1.0 available. The hardware version is the same for both firmwares. Right now the SD card works perfectly. However the wireless dropping issue appeared. I'll try to check the g only mode. Jeez, what a router!

Be aware that NA and EU FW differ as the wireless channels and frequency rules between NA and EU differ, one reason why there is different FW labled as such. If the FW works for you there and the wireless is good then you should be ok then.
