Title: Connecting wireless router to wireless router

Hi,

I have two DLink routers. I have the DIR-655 and the DI-624 Xtreme G.

Currently my connections are as shown:

ISP Modem>>>>DIR-655>>>>DI-624

I have the DIR-655 in basement and DI-624 on 2nd floor. They are connected together via Cat5 straight thru cable. I'm trying to have my 2nd floor *wireless* signal boosted by having the DI-624 there. How can I configure this to make it work properly.

What I've done to this point:
1) disabled DHCP on DI-624
2) plugged straight thru cable from DIR-655 into the *LAN* port on DI-624. Should I use WAN or crossover cable?
3) DIR-655 is using wireless channel 6. DI-624 is using wireless channel 11
4) both use the same SSID and password

Should work just find the way you have it. No cross over cable needed and yes you use the LAN port on the back from the 655 to the 624 Lan port aswell. I manually set a reserved IP address on the 624 if you can thats an open and free one from the 655. There is a sticky over on the DGL-4500 forum for setting up routers as APs.
