Title: Restrict access to speicified internal IP's
Post by: stigs on August 30, 2011, 10:13:52 AM
Hello,

Have a new DIR-825 setup at home for coverage to another part of the house. I want to completely restrict clients using this WAP from accessing a couple internal IP's (that I use for work-related things). Restriction meaning filesharing, ping, RDP, etc - everything. Can this be done on the router side?

Thanks,

You mean on the WAN or LAN side of the router?

LAN side. WAN I could do through Access Control.

LAN side. WAN I could do through Access Control.

You could use the "hosts" file (Windoz) on the clients you don't want to be able to access the specific IP's, on a client by client basis. I have never seen internal restrictions on a home router like that.

But if anyone can find it, it will be Furry...........
