The "Two-Way Audio" is interesting, but IMO blurs the lines on what this camera is intended for. Now we're moving into the realm of a two way intercom/communication rather than a monitoring device.

The H.264 is what this camera is all about.
Now if they would just come out with a megapixel h.264 for a reasonable $$ we would have the ticket!

Does anyone know when this camera is going to be availalbe to purchase?  If it is now, where?
Thx.

I haven't seen the product available through any of the typical vendors or channels. The fact that the DCS-942L is now listed on the public mydlink product and support pages are good indicators that a release can't be too far behind.
I'm speculating D-Link will want to ensure this product is released for the holiday shopping season.  ;D

I just hope that it will be possible to record to Samba share directly from configuration, like it is possible in DCS-1130 (Setup -> Recording tab). Having a PC running to record something is really a deal-breaker and can do it with any cheap web cam..

At the very least, the DCS-942L can record to a micro SD card.

It is now available at Staple's for $149
Beware that recording video to the SD card does not work at all at this time.

When you connect to mydlink.com, it's asking to update the firmware right away.  New Firmware Version: 1.01.0719
File Size: 8.4M
Anyone else seeing this or have tried it?
Thanks,
Mike

I upgraded the firmware to 719 successfully.  There appears to be a new check box for turning on the SD card 'SD Management' (unless I don't remember that from before the upgrade).  Unfortunately, there is no revision list from dlink on what 719 does, but the upgrade went well.  Just FYI for everyone. :D
