bye the front cover of the d'link DNS-323  ... anyone know where I can find that?

One option may be to search ebay for a dead unit and ask the seller to ship you only the front cover.

I managed to fry my DNS-323.  If I can't get a replacement circuit board, then I have a front cover... and everything else. Yours for the cost of postage from Australia.
