What is the name or path for the file stored on your hard drive for the configuration settings?

-
I saved mine to a folder on one of my drives.  You can save it anywhere you want, just remember where you put it.

-
How do you set it to save where you want?  For me, you click save settings and it does not give you an option of where to save the settings.

What Browser are you using?  I hit the save configuration button and  I get a Windows box asking me where I want to save it.  If you have already tried to save one, look in your downloads folder.

I'm using IE 7.  I've looked in the downloads folder.  What is the file name and extension of your configuration file?  Maybe I could try a search for that file name or an abbreviated file name.

When I click save again - with no changes - it will say - no changes have been made, do you want to save anyway.  I click yes.  Then I've done an Explorer search (XP/SP3) by the date, look for entries in last minute or so, still cannot find anything that seems to be related to D-Link router.

				Mine is gateway_settings.gws

I am using an A hardware model, if you are using a B it may be alittle different.

I have A, too.  Funny thing, the date on the .gws file for me is 5/25/10, which is when I first set up the router.  Today, I did a firmware update and wanted to restore the configuration file.  Could not find it.  I gave up on finding it and set up the wireless manually, assigned/saved new name and password.  So there should be new date to the file.

The config file doesn't update as you make changes to the router.  You need to save a new copy of it after changes are made, that way you can restore it if you need too.
