				Since the german division of dlink has not released the new 1.20 firmware, could I install the US version into my EU router?? Or can someone tell me where I can find a suitable firmware update for my router, considering that the american market has already available the 1.21 version.
 
 Even in south america they have the 1.20 available.
 
 I need some help with all this mess.

				Just do it. Almost everybody does so. I don't think there will be anymore EU versions.

 it will void your warranty but well you can revert back to orginal firmware :P
 
 the Beta firmwares will show all 13 channels = EU

				But, if I'm not wrong, there is not a big difference in the hardware? 
 As far as I remember one use an atheros chipset and the other an ubicom.
 
 That makes a big difference in the coding of the firmware, or not?

				there might be diffrent channels in diffrent parts of the world, japan has 14, EU got 13, US got 11

				Firmware 1.21 is running fine on my A2 EU router.
 
 Ubicom is the processor of the router
 Atheros is the wireless chipset

				There is or wasn't any difference in the firmware versions... Installing the US firmware = void your guarantee? They say so, but in practice this will not be an easy excercise for Dlink since the hardware is not any different.

				Ok, this is simply to show what I got and compare some results between old/new firmwares. I made this measurement moving files between my laptor to a NAS with a Giga ethernet card connected to the router, I'm not completely sure if this the idoneus scenario to run this tests but is something that I do quite often so is very valid for me.
 
 I tested two N cards in my laptop, a D-Link USB DWA-140 with the driver 2.1.0.0 (15/08/2007) and the internal card of the laptop an Intel 4965 AGN with driver 11.1.1.22 (08/08/2007).

 Later, I updated the drivers of the D-Link card provided by the chip manufacturer Ralink RT2870 version 2.2.2.0, and I got a worst performance (not shown).
 
 In conclusion, a quite good improvement using the D-Link but with the Intel card is more or less the same story. However, the best result obtained (16.5 MB/s = 138.4 Mbps) is far from the theoretical 300 Mbps expected, considering that D-Link claim (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=616.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=616.0)) that is possible to obtain this speed using the router and a NIC from them and this same configuration.
 
 Regular configuration with WPA2 Only - AES:

				The Intel 4965 only does 130 Mbps (20 mHz only) by design. So don't expect any more enhancements on that connection   8)

				N should do around 150 mbps in read speed when its ready, just like 54mbps does 25mbps in real speed
