Title: 2 Mbit/sec data rate

Does anyone know if there is a way to force the router to communicate wirelessly at only 1 or 2 Mbit/sec?  I am having trouble connecting to another device, not made by Dlink, and their technical support suggested testing at a lower data rate.  Thanks.
