Title: Is the DIR-601 antenna removable?
Post by: ldrod_okc on August 18, 2010, 08:02:37 AM
Does anybody know if the antenna for this router is removable?  ???  The model I have doesn't seem like it is and I am afraid that I might break it if I try.

I would like to connect an external antenna I have.

I came across this DIY for the DIR 601. It requires some soldering but it works. I had another antenna plus I got the router for $15 on special. All in all, not a bad little project.

There is a place on the board to solder a connector in, but it does not seem to do anything.
