Title: Computer delays when booting, looking for drive
Post by: ima420r on March 03, 2010, 07:59:30 PM: My PC boots up and it seems it is so busy it can't load most programs for about 30 minutes. Through some troubleshooting I found out that my PC is searching for my network drive. I have a shortcut on my desktop to the drive and a letter assigned for easy access.

Any ideas why this is happening or if there are settings I can change to prevent it? I have firmware 1.7 installed on the drive and am using Vista on the PC.

... you can alway usee MSCONFIG to see what exactly is causing this slow down issue ?

Post by: ima420r on April 01, 2010, 02:44:01 PM: I unmapped the drive and am still having problems. It may have been a coincidence that my PC started acting up when I got the network drive, but I still think the drive has something to do with it.

What should I look for with MSCONFIG? I check what programs run at start up on a regular basis, but when it comes to the services tab I wouldn't know what to look for.
