It worked great for me.. ;) I have zero problems with the router now.

Although heat can kill the performance of computer products, my routers have been dealing with 85-87 degree
temps where they are located in the house. Although I have not seen a degradation in speed attributed to heat aside from interference from other routers in neighborhood. Glad to see the fan option is working for you, will keep this in mind.

He still hasn't indicated the ambient temperature of the room containing the router.  ???

He hasn't indicated much of anything since posting. Indicates to me that his is not HW or FW related.
