Ok, thanks for the information and details.

So the roku works better streaming with the wifi radio set for Medum in stead of High. Interesting. How far away is the roku from the router?
Is the rokus wifi broadcast disabled? I remember some one said they have onboard wifi radios as well.
Test the roku with LAN cable connection if possible.

I'm getting my 890L ready for main host router mode and will be testing this out and connecting two XB1s on the same router. Hope to have good results.  ???

Loaded this today from 1.09.

As you may recall from my other posts, I had issues with 1.10 and the earlier 1.11 firmware.  They would not play nice with Roku, chromecast audio and several mobile devices (mainly iOS).  Those devices would constantly disconnect and reconnect to the router.  I know several others had the same kind of luck and we all went back to 1.09 firmware.

Things were going well here with the 1.11 build2 beta until I tested Roku out.  A few minutes into a 1080p stream the device was booted.  I then set my transmission power to medium and so far so good!  I'm about 30 min into the movie on Roku.  All other devices are stable (regardless of transmission power).  I really want off the 1.09 firmware due to security issues.

Some items to note: I do not have a lot of other wireless traffic.  I live in an old orchard with one neighbor close enough for me to barely pick up their wireless signal from one side of my house (they are using the new google home wifi).  The old stability issues with other firmware happened when no one was in that house, so it wasn't a congestion issue.  Current settings beyond default are: new admin password, up/down speeds defined in QoS menu, guest zone on with password (internet only), and wireless transmission power lowered to medium.

I'll report back with results in a day or so.  Fingers crossed!

Also giving this a try from firmware 1.10b07 (most stable for me). So far QoS is saving my changes and MyDlink is working! MyDlink would not work on 1.11Beta01. The big test will be SC vs iPhone's tonight, lol.

Thanks,

Ryan

SC is working! Great job! this is great!

Well. I have been using/testing  this firmware since June, after I had a remote control season on my router with the Taiwanese engineering team in May.

This latest firmware has improved from the previous version.

Initially, I was able to save changes on QoS. It is now not able to do so. I am using iMac with safari. So please test your router after a week or 2 later and see if you have the same problem

The router is still unable accurately display all the connected devices. The engineering team seemed able to identify the problem and created a note on it. I have 42 devices on the network and all the switches are from Dlink.

I have the  SC disable since the upgrade, so I am not able to comment on it.

Fyi, the Dlink app connection list will not match with the router home page.

Friends, iQOS dont works in this version. if i configure my router like image below some devices have cropped speed, like android devices.

Speed test on the notebook reached 150 megabytes, speed test in the android reached 15 megabytes. After disabling the iQOS android it started to respond normal.

I think I might be having some inconsistencies because the option is enabled (Streaming inconsistencies). In my setup with this firmware it was smarter to disable iQOS

What is the recommended time to schedule the reboot? I set it up here for daily.

I do daily myself. If you have a lot of devices connected and/or use a lot of bandwidth (streaming, "downloading", etc) then daily reboots would not be a bad thing.

I can confirm that this version is not recognizing some devices, specifically two xbox ones on the same router.

My xbox #1 is seen as Unknown Device at the on set of setting up the router with just one wired LAN PC connected to the router and both xboxes connected via LAN cable as well. xbox #2 is detected as Microsoft.
This issue was also reported by BIPOLAR BEAR in a private chat. I've asked him to follow up here as well with his information. I've pass this onto D-Link for review as well.

Also getting OPEN NAT in Game is not possible with the 890L as it seems that either uPnP and or QoS can't correctly open a virtual port for a 2nd game console and allow the game to get a OPEN NAT status. I can do this with older DIR/DGL series routers and a non Mfr'd D-Link router.
I'll post more info here of testing I did last nite:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=65732.0

I'm hoping that the configuration of QoS given 3 or more days afterwards has been FINALLY corrected.

I'm in the middle of testing out two xboxes online and doing reboot of there router while making configurations.   ::)
So far SC is working and enabled here.
I configured my QoS to auto detect ISP speed.

I'll run a speed test with the xboxes since they have a speed test feature while in QoS and see what they report.

With QOS ON, android Smartphone (BAIXAR = DOWNLOAD / CARREGAR= UPLOAD):

With QOS OFF, Android Smartphone (BAIXAR = DOWNLOAD / CARREGAR= UPLOAD):

I tested on all android smartphones in the house and everyone responded the same way. In the notebook, QOS does not interfere with my speed.
For me the bug is clear.

Qos settings:

I continue to test everything, in order to give a verdict at the end.

Upgraded today. Slow loading anywhere in configuration. Wireless security won't work... Completely open network.

edit: keeps saying "router not found" when navigating through menu

Have you tried using another browser? This happens here and usually a cleanup in the browser or access by another browser solves the problem definitely.
