I am getting a login failure very frequently with this app. For days I can't log in, then one day I can.. Then back to days. Web login works fine during failures as well.

What model phone are you using and what version of the Windows Phone 8 are you running on your phone?

Have you phone contacted D-Link support about this MetalHd?

I can confirm this on the Nokia Lumia 822. Nearly every attempt to use my camera from the mydlink lite app yields a "Connection timed out. Would you like to reconnect? (1_0_2_3_0_FFF)" error. I have two Nokia 822 phones and they both give the same error, I can connect to the camera maybe 1 time in 100 tries. When the Win Phone app fails, I can grab my Nexus 7 and tether it to the Nokia 822, open the Android version of the app on the Nexus, and it works fine.

I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.

If it's any help, it seemed to work fine when I first got the camera last October, but seemed to start giving the login error around Nov or Dec and essentially hasn't worked since.

Are there any updates on this one?
I'm getting into the same issues with my Lumia 920 [connection timed out. Would you like to reconnect? (1_0_2_3_0_FFF)].
Is there an app update planned with a fix to this issue?
On iPhone and on my PC the cam seems to work well.

I am also having same issue with my Windows Phone 8.1 Application. I am on Lumia 620/720/730, All of them having same issue.
