4300 and magicJack
« on: July 05, 2009, 10:39:13 AM »

Is anyone else out there using these in conjunction? The packet inspection seem to be too rigorous. I disabled the SPI firewall and still have rejected outgoing packets to IP's which I have traced back to magicjack. I have rules added and still have problems. The result is some phone jitter, loss of audio at one end, and occasional hang-ups. Works well 85% of the time.

Any ideas?

Can send logs.

i am having trouble getting magic jack to recieve incoming calls . They go directly to the voice mail. Magic jack said I have to set my D-Link to port forwarding , but when I go to the page they are showing me it doesn't have the same things to fix. Can anyone help with that????

Ok I ran Magicjack for about a year on my 4300 here is how I set it up.

Under GameFuel rules use this..

    UDP  49160-49170/0-65535

   MajicJack 2    1    192.168.1.3-255.255.255.255    0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
    UDP  56560-56570/0-65535

   MagicJack 1    1    192.168.1.3-255.255.255.255    0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
