DNS-313 power off during ClicknConnect HDD format
« on: May 14, 2010, 05:19:58 PM »

Dear All, I have a brand new DNS-313. Hardware and firmware rev H/W:B1; F/W:2.00.
My HDD is a Western Digital Green WD10EADS 1TB.

I run 'ClicknConnect' and all starts off ok. However during the format process, when it is about 75% completed, the DNS-313 unit powers OFF !!!  :'( This is repeatable. The unit does not power off at any other stage, only during a format.

My mate has a Seagate HDD and that does not have a problem with my DNS, so i am assuming there is an issue with my WD. I use a Western Digital diagnostic tool and it reports all ok.

Has anyone seen such an issue before where the DNS just powers off ?

Thanks for any advice.
