DIR890L Weak Security
« on: January 15, 2021, 08:58:06 PM »

Picked up an 890l works good has the 1.22 firmware installed but no matter what I keep getting weak security on my iPhones and iPads. In the drop down I select wpa2 but there is no option to make sure it’s AES encryption and not tkip. Am I missing something here? I have even tried older firmware and same issue happens. It is version A1

Your devices are connecting at AES modes, Apple has chosen to notify users if both TPIK and AES is being broadcast at the same time even though AES IS being used.

I since this model is EOL, one alternative is to load 3rd part FW on it. I.e. DD-WRT.
