WAN Ping (ICMP)
« on: March 07, 2016, 06:48:08 AM »

Is there a way to open up WAN ping? I thought this would be a pretty basic feature and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Link>Welcome!

  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
  • What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
  • What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?

The new generation routers may not support WAN ping any more since it may have been a limited use feature on older generation router. You might contact D-Link support to see if this feature maybe added or if there is a alternative work around. It may have been a security concern which may have prompted D-Link to not included it. Let us know if you find out anything. Check with the latest beta as I know they added some features in.
